Drop a PDF in and every page is rendered as a thumbnail, so you choose by sight and don't have to guess at page numbers. Extract selected takes the pages you clicked and writes them into one new PDF, in the order they had in the original, which is what you want when a twelve-page bank statement holds the three pages an application asked for. Split into pages ignores the selection altogether and saves every page as its own file, numbered after the source document. Both download as soon as they finish.
There is no page-range field to type into, which surprises people used to desktop software, but the thumbnails cover the same ground. To cut a document in two, select pages 1 to 20, press Extract selected, then select the rest and press it again. To pull out a chapter, click each of its thumbnails; Select all is there when you want everything but two pages. Pages do not have to be next to each other, and selecting 2, 7 and 30 gives you a three-page PDF in page order, whichever you clicked first. If you would rather remove pages than keep them, delete PDF pages is the same picker with the opposite outcome.
Each page is copied into the new file as it is, so text stays selectable and searchable, embedded fonts come along, images keep their resolution and the page keeps its size and orientation. The parts add up to roughly the weight of the original, sometimes a little more, because every new file carries its own copy of the fonts used on its pages. If a single extracted page is heavier than the form you are sending it to allows, run it through compress PDF. To put the parts back together in a different order later, use merge PDF.
Drop the file in, wait for the thumbnails, then click Split into pages. Every page is saved as its own PDF, numbered after the original file name. A fifty-page document gives you fifty files, so your browser may ask once whether to allow multiple downloads.
Click the thumbnails of the pages you want and press Extract selected. Those pages are combined into a single new PDF in their original order, whether or not they were next to each other in the source document.
Yes, in two passes. Select pages 1 to 20 and extract them, then select the rest and extract again. There is no page-range box to type into, the thumbnails are the selector.
No. Pages are copied into the new file without being re-rendered or recompressed, so text stays selectable and searchable, fonts stay embedded and images keep their original resolution.
No. The PDF is opened, previewed and rewritten inside your browser tab, so a contract, a bank statement or a scanned passport stays on your device and there's nothing to delete afterwards.
Nothing. You don't need an account and the output has no watermark. The limit is your own machine, since a thumbnail is rendered for every page and a document of several hundred pages takes a while to open.
