How to combine photos online

Drop two or more pictures into the box above, choose whether they stack or sit side by side, and download the result. PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, AVIF and the HEIC files an iPhone produces are all accepted, and one merge can mix them, say a phone photo on top and a PNG screenshot underneath. The thumbnails show the order the pictures will appear in. Whatever you put in comes out as one file, merged.png or merged.jpg.

Combining pictures of different sizes

Photos rarely share a size. Stacked vertically, every image is scaled to the width of the narrowest one, and side by side they all take the height of the shortest. Aspect ratios are kept either way, so faces and products never get stretched to fit. You notice the cost when the shapes are far apart: a 4000-pixel-wide panorama above a portrait photo shrinks to the portrait's width and ends up a thin strip. When that matters, crop the odd one out to a shared aspect ratio first with Crop Photo, or push everything to identical pixel dimensions in the Image Resizer, then come back and merge.

Gap, background color and output format

The spacing slider adds 0 to 100 pixels between the pictures, and the color picker sets what fills that space. At a gap of zero the photos touch and the background color never shows. Set the gap to 20 with white and you get the clean divider people expect in a before and after post; set it to black and the same merge reads as a filmstrip. For the file itself, PNG stores every pixel exactly as it arrived, which is the right pick for screenshots, text and flat color. JPG re-encodes at quality 92 and lands several times smaller, which is what you want when four twelve-megapixel photos would otherwise produce a PNG over 40 MB.

When a grid works better than a merge

A merge puts photos in a single line, which suits a before and after pair, a tall screenshot split across several captures, or two product angles shown next to each other. Four photos that should sit in a square need a grid instead, and the Collage Maker has ready layouts for two to six pictures plus size presets for Amazon and Etsy listings. Blending two photos into one scene is a different job again, a generation one: the Combine Photos mode in the Azurade AI studio takes up to fifteen images and a written instruction, and the modes page lists it alongside background removal and product photography.

Frequently asked questions

How many pictures can I combine at once?+

There is no set limit. The tool holds every image you add as a canvas in browser memory, so the practical ceiling is your own RAM. Ten holiday snaps are nothing. Forty raw-sized scans on an older laptop will get slow.

Can I reorder the photos after adding them?+

No. They are combined in the order you added them, left to right or top to bottom. To fix an order, remove the ones that are out of place with the small cross on the thumbnail and add them again in the sequence you want.

What happens if my photos are different sizes?+

Stacking vertically scales every picture to the width of the narrowest one. Going horizontal matches the height of the shortest. Proportions are kept in both cases, so nothing is stretched, but a wide shot next to a tall one will end up much smaller.

Is there a watermark on the combined photo?+

No. The file downloads as merged.png or merged.jpg, and you can run as many merges as you like without making an account.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?+

No. The images are drawn onto a canvas inside the browser tab and the download is generated right there, so no copy of your photos exists anywhere for anyone to delete later.

Does it work with iPhone HEIC photos?+

Yes. HEIC and HEIF files are decoded in the page before they are combined, so you can drop them in straight from an iPhone without converting them first.
