Why is the trim so fast?+
By default the video is cut at keyframes without re-encoding. The boundaries can shift by a fraction of a second. If you need frame-accurate cuts, turn on "Precise Trim," which is slower.

Not with a regular trim: the stream is just copied as-is. Precise trim re-encodes the segment, which can cause a slight, usually unnoticeable, loss.
