Midjourney has not collapsed. It has been overtaken. Still one of the strongest image models available, with a community nothing else in this category matches. It has taken no outside funding, which is why there is no valuation to quote and why it has never had to chase growth. The catch has always been the payment model rather than the pictures.

What we offer that a subscription cannot

If you generate images most days, a subscription is a perfectly rational purchase and we are not going to argue you out of one. Our own plans exist for exactly that case. The problem with subscription-only pricing is the month you do not use it, and the month after you cancel.

Buying credits here is a deposit. They do not expire, they are not tied to a plan, and an unused balance is simply money you have not spent yet. If you want a plan as well, its monthly credits stack on top of whatever is already in your balance rather than replacing it.

Credits never expire. The balance is a counter that only moves when you add to it or spend it. There is no monthly reset, no rollover cap, and no expiry date.
Subscription credits stack. A quiet month leaves the balance where it was, and the next drop lands on top of it.
A failed generation is refunded automatically. No ticket, no support queue, no waiting on a human to agree with you.
