Get a barcode in a minute: EAN-13, Code 128, and four more formats. Download a PNG for your label or product card, all right in your browser.
Required: any letters and digits
For a product on a shelf it's usually EAN-13, which is 13 digits. If you need to encode arbitrary text or an SKU, use Code 128, since it accepts letters and digits.
The value doesn't match the format. EAN-13 requires exactly 13 digits, EAN-8 requires 8, UPC requires 12. The field always shows what's needed.
The image is generated to the format's standard. But the number itself needs to be your own, officially issued one. We render a code from a number. We don't issue numbers.

No. The barcode is rendered right in your browser, so the value is never sent anywhere.
